Health

We would just like to mention that we are a non-smoking school and do not allow any staff, visitors or parents/carers to smoke on our premises.

The school nurse visits the school regularly. A routine health interview is arranged for all children at the age of five, after starting school. You will be sent a health questionnaire and consent form. The health interview includes a growth assessment (height and weight), vision and hearing tests and the opportunity to write of any concerns you may have e.g. bedwetting, nightmares, behaviour etc. The nurse will inform you of any follow up tests.

Vision is tested again at about 6/7 years old. The school dentist also visits the school.

If children become unwell or have an accident during the school day, we may need to contact parents/carers.

Please make sure we have an up to date emergency number for this purpose, in addition to your home telephone number. Please tell us if you change your telephone numbers.
