Our school motto is Achieve, Inspire, Succeed. This motto encompasses the aspirations that we have for all of our children. We provide inspirational learning experiences and celebrate every child’s individual achievement. Personal and academic success is supported by and shared with Alexandra Infant community including children, parents, carers, staff, governors and friends.

At Alexandra Infant School we are passionate about developing the ‘whole child’. Teaching life skills that will enable children to thrive, not only in our school, but throughout their education and into adult life.

Aims

At Alexandra Infant School we are dedicated to providing high quality education which will enable all children to enjoy learning and to achieve their personal best.

We do this through:

  • Ensuring every child feels valued
  • Prioritising the well-being of children, staff and families within the Alexandra community
  • Providing high quality learning experiences within a creative and engaging curriculum
  • Ensuring a safe and fully inclusive environment that encourages all children to shine
  • Building resilient and independent learners that are confident to tackle new challenges
  • Developing creativity and collaboration by encouraging children to communicate and question their  learning, and the world around them
  • Setting high expectations for behaviour and learning, whilst recognising individual achievements and   progress
  • Showing respect for each other within a caring and nurturing environment
  • Working together in partnership with parents and carers to enable each child to succeed
  • Ensuring children are equipped with key skills, both academic and personal, to engage and embrace future responsibilities and experiences

The staff at Alexandra Infant School have all contributed and share these aims and these are echoed through conversations with children, parents and Governors.
