Welcome from the Headteacher

AlisonA warm welcome to Alexandra Infant School, where we are passionate about learning and celebrating individual achievements.

Alexandra Infant School is a two form entry infant school with children in EYFS, Y1 and Y2. The school also has two classes in our Autistic Specialist Provision. We are a fully inclusive school that celebrates individual achievements, both academic and personal.

The well-being of children and staff is the highest priority of the school and we work closely with our families and the community to achieve this.

Our inspirational and creative curriculum provides opportunities for children to gain knowledge and skills in all subjects. Our curriculum provides specialist teachers and there is a range of extra-curricular activities that further enrich our broad and balanced curriculum. The school prides itself on developing the Arts and pupils have the opportunity to learn the violin and piano.

Children are challenged throughout their learning and encouraged to ask questions, solve problems, build resilience, and become independent learners. We have strong home-school links and parents and carers play a key role in enabling every child to succeed.

The Governors in our school have a wide range of skills and experience in order to support the school and drive school improvement. They are committed to ensuring the very best outcomes for all of our children.

Our nurturing school provides a safe learning environment where all children can thrive and reach their full potential.
